In this role, Matt is responsible for leading business development, new market penetration with a focus on information technology, establishing new strategic partnerships and overseeing all aspects of organizational growth.
Matt started his career in the technology sector during the first “dot com” boom of the late 1990s. After that, he co-founded an investment-backed data visualization and analytics company that supported the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Joint Forces Command, U.S. Army, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Most recently, Matt led sales and business development with a Washington, D.C.–based digital agency and their strategic partner, Acquia, where he led Federal sales of highly specialized website hosting and productivity tools for major government websites such as IRS.gov, Social Security, Department of Justice, and many others.
Matt lives in Annapolis with his wife of over 20 years, Dana, and their three boys. Matt is an active volunteer in the community supporting the Lighthouse Shelter, Arundel Rivers Federation, and the ARC of the Chesapeake, a group focused on supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. When he’s not working, Matt is an active boater and lover of the Chesapeake Bay (just ask him—he’s more than happy to skip the commute to D.C. and take colleagues, customers and friends out for a boat ride or trip to a local waterfront watering hole). Matt is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., and Denmark International Study (DiS) program in Copenhagen.
