Effective data management improves security, compliance, efficiency, and decision making, while knowledge management enhances productivity, morale, innovation, and operations. DHA engaged Intreped Partners to monitor, assess, and improve data management for the Military Health System (MHS) including the patient portal used by 9.5 million military members and retirees.

Intreped collaborates with government experts and partners to oversee and coordinate data governance, and advise on strategies, guidelines, policies, and metrics for Enterprise Data Management (EDM). In partnership with DHA and affiliated organizations, Intreped addresses data quality issues, provides training for data stewards and analysts, and supports the creation of related program-based materials. Intreped measures continuous improvements and maintains a repository of best practices to enhance military healthcare. Additionally, Intreped works with developers to create SharePoint-based dashboards, applications, tools, and resources that improve data availability, efficiency, and quality, supporting leadership decisions in the DHA and MHS.
By identifying over 95% of functional data stewards in DHA, Intreped has improved data quality and governance. We have created several resources to describe knowledge management tools, improving both data availability for the DHA client team and knowledge sharing with military members via MHS systems.
