Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
2021 through 2022
Leveraging a decade of experience working in North and West Africa, Intreped Partners planned, developed, coordinated, and executed a DTRA-sponsored Health Security Lessons Learned Workshop with all priority regional African stakeholders that required health security guidance and mentorship. The Intreped team leveraged strong, existing relationships with U.S. Department of Defense stakeholders to maximize the project’s impact. Building on the success of the initial health security project, DTRA tasked Intreped with creating a stakeholder mapping and recommendations report. This report identified additional North and West African regional organizations and points of contact relevant to the overarching Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP) mission and future health security efforts.
Intreped’s support of DTRA provided a unique, virtual education opportunity during a global pandemic that reached 61 public health and emergency responsive participants across North and West Africa. Additionally, the North Africa Stakeholder Mapping and Recommendations report directly led to identifying new priority international defense stakeholders and the necessary country-specific next steps for DTRA engagement.
